We just added the ball jointed dolls made by Soul Doll in Korea. These are the same size as Super Dollfies but I like the quality much better. The eyes made by this company are definitely the best I've seen. Check them out at www.japanimationcity.com.

In the month of August, Japanimation City will be advertising in two European anime magazines. We'll have ads in "Animeland" in France and "NEO" in Great Britain. This is a great opportunity to reach out to our European friends where anime is growing by leaps and bounds, especially in France!

JAFAX was great and we had a great time. Now we are visiting London for a combination of vacation and work. This is the first time my family has been here so we are experiencing all of the touristy things which really is a lot of fun! Have any of you been to London before? Anime Central is coming soon and it promises to be a great time! I have many roles to play there. First I have to man the Japanimation City booth and sell some great anime cels & anime goods that I just got during my last visit to Japan a couple of weeks ago. Next, Anime Sound & Vision (I'm co-chairman) will be sponsoring a room at ACEN promoting Japanese culture and featuring Sally Suzuki & Yuusuke (Japanese dancers), the Penny Lane All Stars (retro J-pop band...cute!) and Hiroaki Inoue (Producer AIC, co-founder Gainax). I hope all of you are able to come and that you will stop by the Japanimation City booth! The Anime Sound & Vision booth will be right next to it and we'll be handing out a lot of information on Japan, Japanese culture, the Japan American Society of Chicago info, etc. See you there!

Hi Everyone!
I'm in Japan and looking for some good anime cels to add to Japanimation City. It's really hard to find good cels at reasonable prices these days, as many of the cel shops have closed down. Nevertheless, I am trying very hard! I found a lot of Ryoko cels from Tenchi Muyo that are REALLY cute! Stay tuned.

We will be traveling to Japan this Friday to buy more stuff! As part of our trip, we will be stopping at Tokyo Disneyland. It's been about 14 years since I've been there last (Tokyo Disneyland, that is) and I'm really looking forward to it.
We might stop in Harajuku again to see what the kids are wearing these days...

There are currently no anime studios in Japan that still use cels. This means that they will ultimately be in short supply. What do you think about this? Does this make it more worth it to collect, from a value point of view, or does this just make it less exciting?

I'm heading off to Florida next week and then on to New York! Some fun and some meetings....mostly meetings. This year is a year for travel for me. I was in England a couple of weeks ago and I'll be in Japan for 2 weeks in March and then on to Amsterdam in April. Anyone else going anywhere exciting this year? Share your details!
